Kerala Travel Mart (KTM-2024)
The 12th edition of Kerala Travel Mart (KTM-2024) was inaugurated on September 26 at Le Meridien, Kochi, by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The event showcased Kerala’s tourism strengths and resilience after the recent Wayanad tragedy. Tourism Minister P.A. Mohammed Riyas chaired the function, with Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal as the chief guest.
The inauguration honored past KTM Society leaders and retired Chief Secretary Dr. Venu V., for his contributions to Kerala Tourism. Chief Secretary Sarada Muraleedharan released the ‘Seller’s Directory’, and Tourism Secretary K. Biju presented Kerala’s focus on Responsible Tourism, MICE, weddings, and cruises.
KTM-2024 drew a record 2,839 buyers, including 808 international participants from 76 countries. The event highlighted Kerala as a top destination for weddings and cruises, emphasizing a “total digital revolution” with green protocols.
The inaugural event was held at Le Meridien and the following Business sessions will continue at Willingdon Island’s Sagara-Samudrika Convention Centre, with a public expo on September 29.
