Edathua Perunnal

Edathua is situated in Kuttanad, Alappuzha. Located along the banks of river Pamba, Eduthua Church is built-in 1810. Dedicated to St. George, St.George Forane Church is one of the prime attractions of Kerala. Edathua church feast is a 10-day feast which draws a large crowd. The feast starts on the 27th of April and ends on 7th May every year. Devotees from Tamil Nadu are main contributors of this feast. The statue of St.George will be decorated with gold regalia. St. George statue is carried out by the Tamil devotees and placed in the centre of the church. It is believed that this holy church is known for curing disease especially mental disorders. People from all over Kerala gather for the 10-day feast. Eduthua church is known for its architectural structure.
