Elanji Forane Church Feast

Elanji is a village near Muvattupuzha situated in Ernakulam district. Elanji St. Peter’s and St Paul’s church is one of the famous churches in Kerala. It is said that the church was built in the 14th century upon the order of then Vadakumcoor King on the donated land by a believer.

The Elanji Forane church feast is celebrated with great belief and traditions. Feasts include feasts of St. Peter and Paul and also witness the darshanathirunal of Mother Mary along with ‘Novena’.

Elanji Forane church feast is held twice in a year on 28th and 29th June and on the last Sunday and Monday of the month, November every year. Devotees from different areas gather together for the grand procession on the feast day.
